Fans of Twilight will be happy to hear that the vampire series may be adapted as an anime series in Japan, according to hints dropped by the cast and crew in commentaries on the film's March 21 DVD release.
Among its many bonus materials, the new DVD set features a commentary track by director Catherine Hardwicke and co-stars Kristen Stewart and Robert Pattinson.
During the final sequence of the film, in which Stewart's Bella and Pattinson's Edward Cullen discuss transforming her into a vampire so the two of them can be together forever, Pattinson notices that he looks different from previous scenes. "I look Asian in this scene," Pattinson says. "I do, I look like an anime character."
Hardwicke responds, "Hey, I think there's going to be an anime version of this in Japan. So you will be an anime character."
The trio goes on to discuss how cold the location was and how Stewart inadvertently smashed Pattinson's toes over the course of the night, so no information is yet available on whether Bella drives a pneumatic red motorcycle or whether the Cullens transform into a giant robot and fight off alien monsters from outer space.
Twilight is based on the first of Stephenie Meyer's books.
Bella is the cute girl who is often in danger and can't really do anything useful. Edward is the emo vampire who stalks, protects, and kind of wants to eat her. Oh, and Edward's weakness is that he gets sparkly when sunlight hits him.
It's like the story was waiting to be made into anime.
I don't know guys... I carry around a copy of twilight with me every once in a while, its a pretty good conduit for conversation with girls. Because c'mon guys..... we need all the help we can get.... don't lie to yourself and go buy a copy of the book.
Biggest problem is that I have actually heard (multiple times) "No guy could ever be as good as my Edward."....
Some of the girls I know would devote as much to an anime as they have the rest of the series... it is a good idea and is marketable, it might even help spread some anime love. Too bad the rumor is not true.. thanks to our resident twilight expert Shaloop!

The only girls I know who like Twilight are my tween cousins, so I'll pass on that, thank you very much. All of the women I associate with are into noise music and Jodorowsky films.
Twilight is teaching our children (daughters) that Edward and Bella are in love. It is in fact not love, but an obsession. Every 3 sentences talks about how perfect Edward is and this is what people are calling greatest love story ever. I hope to god that this "fine" piece of literature is put to rest and stays in book form.
Future Month of Suck Inductee for sure

Most of the girls that I know actually read books, good ones at that. They wouldn't read twilight if I paid them to.

and how many of most of those girls are you currently going out with?
I am not saying the books are good by any stretch of the imagination, i'm just saying a very high number of teenage girls like those books, being a teenage guy, I work with what I can.

Well only One at the moment, but I get what your saying. I guess it depends where you are from. After they read the 3rd book most girls here lose the infatuation. I guess take advantage of it while you can brutha!
Don't lie twitch i know you dress up as mario to hit on the young ones! Also there are some pretty classic examples of things like this from older guys, i.e. puppy in the park being your pimp.
