  • [quote="Dave"]My doctor just said that if I drink one more cake I'm going to piss my liver out in bite-sized chunks. :(
    That's a double-ouch!
  • [quote="xenomouse"][quote="Dave"]My doctor just said that if I drink one more cake I'm going to piss my liver out in bite-sized chunks. :(
    That's a double-ouch!
That's simply because the liver is an unnecessary organ. Cake > internal organs.
  • Quit smoking

I quit 15 months ago. Best decision I've ever made. Good job!
  • I just completed my first week of the couch-to-5k program. My resting pulse is already noticeably lower.
  • Awesome dude, keep it up. Let us know all your progress. Also, how's your lady doing?

I wanted to ask before, but I didn't want to come of all weird and internet stalker-y.

Out of curiosity, what's considered a proper resting pulse? Mine's around 80.

According to the American Heart Association, about 60-80 bpm.

Mine was over 80 before I began the program. It's in the 60's-70's now.

It's cool. She's doing very well. There's a little hiccup though - she got into a mild rear-ender last Thursday. The rear bumper is pushed in a bit, her neck is still sore, and she did miss the larger portion of a day of work, but she's doing quite well, all things considered.
  • Fine work. Sounds like you're making good progress, then. Congrats!

I look quite healthy, but I know I'll drop over from a heart attack at 35. My lifestyle is probably as unhealthy as possible.
  • ME too.

I'm actually afraid of that. Being a little round thing, I kinda put off the idea of health for awhile, in pursuit of trying to keep me and my loved ones fed. Now that things are a bit more stable, I need to think about mah future, man. I'm not gonna be this young for long, ya know?

We should have, like, a Fast Karate weight loss thing or something. Call it 'Hey Fatty! Quit bein' so fat, fatty!'
  • This should work for now...

  • I just got home from work, I've got a bottle of Dr. Pepper, a tube of Pringles, a tube of Slim Jims, a bag of weed and a copy of Project A-Ko.

I'm sorry if I just shattered this page of healthy people.
  • I've had a noticeable increase in my output at the gym since I switched back to music. Who knew podcasts were holding me back so much?
  • The Delta Force Theme comes to mind
  • I listened to the Day That Never Comes at the gym and my heart nearly exploded.
  • I think my brain screamed when I saw this.

Dave, you might wanna check this out!

  • I have seen the video for Red Fraction.

    I don't think that's a woman I need to see in concert.
  • 4th anniversary.
  • Hot Dawg!

    Congratulations, Joel!
  • Congrats Joel and Kathy.
  • Congrats Joel :D
  • [quote="The Joel"]4th anniversary.
    Well done.

  • And you still don't have a child! Good for you sir.
  • Congratulations!
  • Ahh, I didn't even see this yesterday.
    Congratulations man :)
  • Just found the first 14 volumes of the Full Metal Alchemist Manga and the first nine volumes of the Claymore manga for a dollar each at a garage sale a block from my house. Woot. Is Claymore any good? I kinda bought it on a whim... and 'cause it was super cheap.

Also, tomorrow is my 12th anniversary. IN YOUR FACE, JOEL!
    Spoiler:
    In your face with congratulations.
  • I know when I've been bested. Congrats Shaloop!
  • Congrats to both of you!

And Loop, I like Claymore. It's just actiony garbage, but I have enough room in my heart for significant amounts of actiony garbage.
  • 12 years!
    Damn son :o

I shall drink to this long lasting and healthy marriage.
    Congratulations you noble gentleman.
  • my Ipod went through the wash today and it still works fine. although i need a new set of headphone, or just wait till a new remote adapter comes out for it.
  • I didn't have to go to class tonight, so I got some work done, and now I get to watch Theodore Tugboat.
  • Finished a job tonight, the first thing that my studio has done outside of our personal work. Can actually relax for a few days until we start on the new one.
  • I just found Mail Call on Hulu.

Awesome! Can you talk about it or is there some kind of non-disclosure thing in effect?
  • Two of my best friends are getting married in just a few hours and I get to be the best man! This is pretty much fantastic.

Huh. I've got a wedding this evening too. Not the best man, though. Thank god.
  • I had a cd of Jam Project in a loop while driving back from an ok concert, that little CD pumped me so much that a normal 2 hour drive went down to 1.5 hours :goku: :goku: :goku: :goku: :goku: :goku: :goku:
  • Hauled in a bunch of games at Digital press yestarday, but the best thing I hauled in, for 50 cents, was the Issue of Golgo 13: The Impossible hit!
  • At the wedding reception, about a dozen people, most of whom I didn't even know, went out of their way to tell me that my toast as best man was one of the best they'd ever heard, the groom himself told me that midway through my speech was one of the only two times that day he really started to tear up, and I didn't embellish or exaggerate a word in it. The wedding was two days ago and I'm still ridiculously happy for the couple. I'd definitely say I feel awesome today. :D
  • My train was late, then I got stuck in the metro. I remember I forgot my lab key on my other coat and I almost messed up a brand new HLPF while doing a caffeine analysis.
Why am I so happy, only because my family got me a nice laptop Mac Book Pro
I don't know how to use it just yet, I am used to the mac OS but so far is a very slick gadget.
  • Reading King Leopold's Ghost. Yikes.
  • Got my teeth cleaned today, but that's not why I feel awesome.

I feel awesome because I didn't cry out like a little bitch.

That's because you are awesome :D
    Congratulations for your friends
  • I got the day off in a couple weeks to go to my brother's wedding, without any problems.
