Status Update (03/26/07): I should've written this a lot earlier, but I've been lazy/forgetful. However, SKABS has been neither. He's just gotten a job in New York and, as of now, is commuting something crazy like three hours both ways from Jersey WHILE working ten hour days. Needless to say, Front Beat is going to be on hiatus for quite some time. We're hoping this problem resolves itself sooner rather than later, but can't give you any real specific dates yet. In the mean time, I'm continuing work on the short stories in the Front Beat universe, at least, and am primed to release the second one any day now. As always, our forums are a great place to go for information. We hope to see you real soon!
Sorry. Hopefully it won't be forever, but it's gonna be awhile at least.
[quote="Mozesh"]We just wanne see some chicks shooting robots, and robots fighting cops, and cops fighting robots.
Hey, nobody wants that to happen more than us, but we'll see. Skabs lives in New York now, so his commute is much shorter... but now he's working until like 1 AM every morning. Awesome.
Also I just saw the halloween picture again and I realized I'm here at Front-Beat/Fast Karate over two years now
Hey guys long time no see. Sorry about all this mess but i got an awesome job making TV commercials and I had to scoop up the offer before it expired. I am working on 98 now, and hopefully I will have more free time to update. The funny thing is Dave is right, most days clients want revisions NOW and we need to stay however long it takes to fix the spot. And you know that the second draft is never good enough. Also sometimes clients will call the producers on weekends and say "hey rememeber when we said that spot was done......its not" and they will call us all back during the weekend to fix the problems. So needless to say its a time consuming job, but its the best job anyone could ever have. It's loads of fun. Thanks for sticking with Dave through all of this, and I assure you Front Beat is not dead yet.
Sounds like you're having a good time. I hope that everything comes out well and you make tons o' cash. It'll be nice to have you back and the comics running again.
"No, see, when he puts his hand down, he has his fingers ON THE LEFT SIDE of the product. This is not what we want at all! He should have his fingers ON TOP OF the product!"
"Why can't you just take (other commercial) and put OUR name in there instead?"
Well Skabs, it's good to hear you've found a job which is fun. That's basically what all people want, right. Good luck with yer job and hopefully you'll get some more time for some robots.
Thanks guys! Good news, i finished the page finally! I was on call all weekend but luckily i never got called. : D
Anywho, it was a little rushed but i hope you like it. Im trying to make more time to do front beat and hopefully i can get the next one to y'all in a timely fashion.
Also, I am having a blast. It's the best job anyone could ask for. Hopefully i can keep it!
Sorry, but Skabs works these hours that can be easily quantified as "totally retarded". Sometimes he doesn't even go home at night. Soooo, y'know... with him working like 80+ hours a week, including weekends and sleepovers, there's just not a whole lot of time for things to get done. We hope to revive it, but I don't want to get anyone's hopes up without reason. For now it's on permanent hiatus.
Well Dave if you can keep up with the short stories which should keep the pulse going when skabs has time or his work load evens out to a regular-esk schedule then the comic its self can resume
As much of a nerd as I am my Internet savy is not very lol. I am still goin through the massive back log of Fast Karate so I thought it was Interesting a saw be forum post.
Skabs is a good artists the comic was quality stuff
