Were those kids movies Disney properties? If so, Disney owns your soul. Eddie Murphy's old stand up were not allowed to be released on DVD while he was under contract with them.
The trailer is kind of meh but I do appreciate him being credited as Dwayne Johnson. It took a few years but I respect guys like him more when they aren't using their wrestling/rap names.
Nope and I'm not saying he was. Just saying that is why he wasn't in an action movie till now. He probably signed a very lucrative contract with Disney to make a certain amount of movies. Once in that contract Disney will not allow you to spoil an image until that contract is done.
I've said it before, but the Rock's charm always gets to me. I didn't see all the family stuff he made but this trailer, specifically the contrast between the radio preacher and what is happening no screen, is enticing. I probably won't see it anyway, but that has more to do with not going to the movies as much as I used to than anything else.
[quote="furyk"]Either he had a kid or wanted to appeal to kids.
Plus kids movies = payday!I do have to say that it must be tough to have your kids say "daddy, can we watch one of your movies?" and you have to say "no, you aren't old enough".
Fast Five was pretty good, although I could have used more actually car scenes. As long as they get rid of Paul Walker's character and make Dwayne Johnson a member of the team, Faster Six should be awesome
I can only conclude that the constant sweat coming off of Dwayne Johnson provided a protective shield against all the shrapnel and scraps he would have received from being knocked around so much.
