    It's basically impossible to tell the quality of a show by the opening (hello Noir and EVERY OTHER Beetrain series), but this show comes from a good pedigree and that opening kicks all sorts of ass. This is something I'm keeping an eye on.

    So, I woke up before classes today in order to watch the first episode raw. I had to go to an Italian web page in order to get some info before hand. It seems that the story happens about 50 years after the original Jeeg and the main character is Kusanagi Kenji. The dude seems to be a mix between a karate, aikido , kendo and judo marital master so that is awesome. Jeeg seems to be a magnetic kind of robot whose main core is the the Hyper Motor Bike

    At the beginning I thought "that is gonna be a small head" but it works, Kotetsu Shin Jeeg seems to use more physical attacks than swords or tomahawks, but so does Kenshiro right? And in this scene he looks kind of pissed off

    I wonder if the main character from the first series became the crazy professor in this one. I also have to mention that there are three pilot fighter punk girls that look pretty hot and the chick in charge of them has and eye patch and katana, so they all right with me, even though in the begging they tried to kill Kenji.

    Also the main character reacted on the most natural kind of way when the parts of the robot were shot at him while he was riding a motorcycle at 130 miles per hour, priceless.

    Finally I must say that this looks a pretty cool series, even though there was not as much blood as in New Getter Robo. However, the enemies looks like are gonna be three times bigger than Jeeg :what:

    I definitely looking forward to the next episode :D

    By the way the opening is very reminiscences to the New Getter Robo opening.

    Ok, so I just finished watching the second episode RAW! I did not understood anything but it was awesome. Anyhow the main character makes me remember Ryoma and kicked as against the first monster. It is a shame he got his ass kicked by one of this chicks :what:

    The latest episode was more or less a re-capitulation of the old Jeeg and his last battle, I have never watch the last episode of the original series but it looks like the main character either did not survive or like in many Go Nagai series just went into another dimension to fight evil forever! and never went back to his family

    I can't wait for the show to be license in the USA, but then again you really do not need to know japanese to get the show. :love:

    P.S. The character design it is pretty Go Nagai-like which is awesome.

    Ok, so from what I have gather so far it looks like Kenji and the dude with the silver hair are related somehow. Gut then again I do know speak japanese. Man why isn't anyone fan subbing this ? :evil:

    Ok, I stopped watching this RAW because the action was soo good I just know that I will get licensed and Geneon will eventually release it. However I went and watch one of the final episodes and all I can say is THIS IS FREAKING AWESOME SPACE ROBOT PUNCHING MONSTERS ACTION!

    So I have finally come to watch this show with subs. Now, I understand the ending a lot better. Though I feel sorry for Michi and Hiroshi. I guess love knows no age.

    I also just finished re-watching the show tonight. More kick ass than I remember it being. This is for sure a top tier super robot show.

    I would like to known some of her background.
    Also, for some reason the "Build Angels" make me remember of a female version of the Getter pilots.
