Show #483: Bury Me With My Afro
  • Also known as SAVE ME, TWITTER.

    http://www.daveandjoel.com/?p=4851
  • HELL YEAH! Downloading as I type.
  • The stream for twitch was effed up for me. Couldn't comment on Blood Omen because the comments weren't working. I had so many sucking jokes that were lost to the ether. Also, one BO comment.
  • As incredibly terrible as Iron Virgin Jin is, I still think Re-Cutie Honey would make an entertaining podcast as it combines all of the terribleness of Cutie Honey with the hyper frenetic sensibilities of FLCL (that always works no matter who is making the show, right guys?).

  • I highly support the LoL stream idea.
  • Hm... I wonder what the issue with the twitch logins is. I think we've had a couple people that can't comment.

Unless you're that dude I banned for being a dumb asshole. Are you a dumb asshole, Dreg? :D
  • I recently had issues with justin.tv logins. Now it just refuses to keep me logged in.
  • Blehhhhhh.
  • My Tweet was not in reference to the recording of the podcast, nor was it specifically about Space Marine. I was in fact asking what you and Jon Brescia were talking about. Something to do with a script?

That being said, I'm happy that it caused you to speak for a minute about 40K, and to avoid speaking about Iron Virgin Jun for a little while.

    *inarticulate fart*

Dave's novel if I had to guess.

  • No one tells me anything. >.<
  • Actually you just need to pay more attention.
  • Another great episode, guys. I liked the Twitter questions. I hope you do more. Cannot wait for the Panel on Friday. Gonna wear my Hanabi shirt and join Joel in heckling you.

Noooooooooooooo thats terrible. I demand compensation from twitch. Stupid twitch and their free service for which I do not pay.
  • In response to the idea of running a tough mudder. A co-worker of mine participated in a Spartan run in Dallas and said that it was one of the hardest things he had ever done and we rode and jumped off of horses several times a day.
  • Yeah, there is no way I'd be able to do it until such time as I am rich and have nothing to do but exercise and get in shape every day.

    Still sounds awesome, though.
  • good show guys....it still just boggles my mind that getter robo came from the man who created this crap....man
  • Getter Robo was created by Ken Ishikawa, not Go Nagai. Go Nagai offered some suggestions on how to improve it, he didn't create it. He did create Mazinger Z, Great Mazinger, Grendizer, and Mazinkaiser, though.
  • Black Lion is like the tamer of his products to show people without freaking them out too bad. The mans mission in life it seems is to piss off the world as much as he can. Shoot, he was pissing of the PTA in the late 60's, which I didn't even know Japan had a PTA to begin with. Its like they made a PTA so some form of organization can tell this man that he pissed them off.
  • Thanks ninja for the correction but if he suggested things for it how did it turn out so good did they just ignore him? Probably

I have yet to see black lion I will defininately have to.

Have Dave and Joel done any kazuo koike stuff? Cause I just read Offered I think it was and I own the color of rage an they are both just mind blowing at points because of the shit he has go down
  • You have to remember, Getter Robo was released by Dynamic Productions, Go Nagai's studio, so of course he had influence on Getter Robo. It's still Ken Ishikawa's baby, though.
