It's...really not all that common of a film, I find.
To be honest, it's one of those "nothing for everybody" films. It's a teen college comedy, but with nerdy jokes and characters that cool kids won't like and a "military-industrial complex" plot that the intended teen audience wouldn't understand! So, really, it's the War Nerd's fantasy about what college would be like.

I sure watched Revenge of the Nerds as a kid! Now there is a movie that hates women.

I saw this on G4 some years back and thought it was good, then found a copy of it at Big Lots which has been sealed and unopened for like 3 years now just sitting on my dvd shelf. So I have no legit excuse to not watch it again.

Well, Real Genius doesn't hate women, it just portrays them as either aspies or obsessed with cock.

I mean, it's not shooting an unarmed woman in the back like Blade Runner, but surely there's movies made in that decade that treat women better.
