GOD DAMN I LOVE THIS BOOK! Seriously, it is one of my favorites. Warning: Gene Wolfe is not an easy read. His prose are fine, but he has entire plots that are told through indirect implication. Pay attention to the details, they are far more important then with most books. I think this book is a shining example of why Wolfe is regarded as one of the most talented writers alive today. Some people will hate it, but hopefully most of you will enjoy it. I can't wait to talk about the werewolf and it's implications!
Sweet. I'm excited to start talking about this book. I love what Wolfe does with narrative, and this book does some rather impressive feats with it. I'll refrain from discussing any of my theories about the book till people have finished it.
Now that I'm on spring break I should have this reread by the end of next week. Noticing all sorts of things I missed the first time I read it. What are you guys thinking about it?
