For some reason I was thinking of Resistance (maybe because Joel said that you can shoot through walls) throughout the podcast.
On that same train of thoght about the whole getting satisfaction from executing the boss. The magnum in resistance shoots these glowing bullets that essentially act as remote mines once shot. One of the boss fights ends up in a struggle to get ahold of a magnum after some fisticuffs. it results on the gun going off through the boss' mouth turning his head into a jack-o-lantern,at that point the game gives you the sole option of triggering the bullet and exploding his head (they go through great lengths to make him a completely irredeemable person first so you don't feel bad) which feels pretty gratifying at that point.
I also forgot that this is after they throw you in a pit earlier to have a hammer fight a la Streets of Fire (and yes it might be the best single player ever).
After playing a bit of Shadowrun on the Genesis, I didn't get that far to have a computer tell me it didnt wanna get hacked. Ill have to play that further some more.
Man I loooooove Genesis Shadowrun. The SNES one was fun but the Genesis one is MORE fun! I love hiring a crew of goons to go fuck up some monsters in the future graveyard.
