Book Club #2: We'll Fix It In Post (I'm Sorry)
I could put this in the magic thread but I thought it would be more apropos here.
I'll do the book club if I can ever get out to a library (Philly stopped Saturday hours).
p.s. - What's October's book?
I think I may have purged a real account while culling the spam applications. Someone said 'book club' in their application and I didn't realize it until I'd already clicked delete, because we get like 40 fake applications a day and I just deny them in bulk.
So if that person is reading this thread, reapply.
October's book hasn't been chosen yet. I should get on that. September's book is listed in the Book Club section, the
History of the Internet
book. I'm just now getting around to reading it, myself, thanks to being away half this month and then moving into a place that I'm having to purge of mold and partially rebuild. I've never made cabinets before. Time to learn how.
Back on point, I'll have the Oct. selection made soon!
Song selection made me lol.
Also, Jon's impression of a hooker seems to be inspired by Debbie from Life and Times of Tim.
is the application to recommend a book or...?
No, to post on the forum. I keep it application only because we get a lot of spam. Theres a thread for suggesting books.
The weekly discussion threads for the book:
I shall make a general comment and say I really enjoyed the podcast. The books chosen aren't typically my cup of tea, but I sure do likes when dem smarty pants start a-talkin' 'bout 'em.
I'm a big fan of book discussions. If one generates enough interesting content from its readers, I'm usually convinced. Keep up the good work Jon, dear.
What's the title of the mountain people book? It sounded interesting.
The Mountain People.
Just that: The Mountain People. It's an exceptional work. Amazon link
