  • Im really into Phantasy Star Online. I played it back on the Dreamcast and I want to again.

Now, heres the problem. Should i play the original PSO, using methods already discussed on the forum, or play PSU, the game that Sega is actually currently supporting with active players.

(Note: Either way I'd be playing on the PC, and the idea of not paying another monthly fee is nice. But, I have no idea whats going on the current PSO, due to the server set up. So, the idea of not paying for running around mindlessly is good.)
  • This may be old news but the PSO2 beta is going on right now. Saw info on how to join and figured I should post it here. http://www.neogaf.com/forum/showpost.php?p=39101051&postcount=190

I'm not 100% sure this works. I registered an account and I'm downloading right now but I'll be asleep by the time if finishes.
  • PSU is bad.
  • That is true, but the original mesasge is from three years ago. :D
  • dat necro.
  • Sorry, was going to start a new thread but I figured as much as PSO has been mentioned there had to be one all ready. Didn't see it but saw this one had only 1 post and figured I'll add my comment here. That said, PSU didn't seem that bad, I just didn't buy it cuz' it wasn't worth a monthly fee.
  • Nah, bumping up old threads is fine here. You don't need to apologize.

How long is this session gonna last? I'd like to try it but who knows when I'll have the time.
  • Phantasy Star Portable 2 for the PSP was a hell of a lot of fun.
  • PSO2 launches today/tomorrow (I am terrible with international time). I think I read somewhere that the open beta characters get transferred to the main game.

Maybe I'm doing it wrong but I feel its very repetitive. Mostly because I haven't gotten any new story quests so I keep doing the same old ones over again.
