The Gurren Lagan stuff is pretty neat, can't wait till it gets put into a Super Robot Wars game. Also, Super Robot Wars K (for the DS) has the weakest lineup EVER. Zoids? Seriously Japan? Couldn't find any robot show thats more deserving than Zoids? At least it has Godannar and Jeeg, but Gundam Seed is still there. They couldn't have put Gundam 00 there? Speaking of Super Robot Taisen (Wars) everyone go buy Super Robot Wars W for the DS, its freaking awesome. Gao Gai Gar + Getter Robo + Mazinkaizer + Full Metal Panic = Awesome. -
Seriously guys, whats so cool about J-Der? I was told of how awesome that guy was, but he never did anything which impressed me all that much. I mean, its a battleship which turned into a robot, why was something more awesome not done with that?!

Annoying kid characters, boring villains, annoying kid characters, dull mecha fights, REALLY annoying kids characters.
Atleast the kids were kinda written out by the end, but the action still wasn't much to write home about (mainly because of how Lame the villains looked.) And the characters were more cute than manly. Its just not what I want out of super robot show, especially when I can watch a 13 episode OVA with better fight scenes, manlier speaches and no annoying kids. -

IAmZim: Fair enough. I guess I differ in that I barely payed attention to the kids and I actually think the fights are really, really good. Also, robot shows with non-retarded looking bad guys are a rarity. The Getter Robo OVAs had good monster designs because they were 6-13 episodes. Try watching the original series and see how good the monsters are when they have to pump one out every week.

I think you're overlooking the key point of GGG: to sell toys to children. Also, fuck your complaining, if a Show takes awhile to get good then just watch from that point on; Nothing Ventured, Nothing Gained, bitches.

The villains designs are generally worse, I guess I'm just more forgiving to those older shows since they're often so absurd they're awesome!

Yeaaah, if I have to skip that many episodes to enjoy it, then its not a show I'm like. Besides, the only parts I found enjoyable were 20-25 and the last 10 eps... And thats not worth it. The only reason why I'm complaining is because people seem to treat GGG like a rite of passage, I'm sick of people thinking its impossible to like Super Robot shows if you don't chronically masturbate to GaoGaiGar. -
A 50+ episode show is understandable, but with the mass produced 13 or 26 episode show skipping to the good part doesn't seem that big of a deal. I'm really just speaking in general, but people need to not be pussies about shows they don't like and just say they sucks.
Its children's television show. Get over it, it not a big deal. You guys aren't the primary demographic, whether or not you like it is incidental. -
