  • Yet another good podcast.
  • Wooo, lets get bustin':
First off thanks, I'll probably be spamming around about this podcast trying to pull up the FB screet cred a bit, it's a kind of a symbiosis, you're both getting something out of it

    Okay, now, Desert Punk:

The trailer sounded pretty cool, so I thought hey, I'm gonna google for that trailer. And so I did, but I found something else, something that might fit better:
    http://www.rottentomatoes.com/m/desert_ ... ailers.php
(View: Meeting His Match, I don't know why they call it a trailer, it's more of a teaser...)
That trailer just burned my brain, "I recognize those titties..."
Jesus... by saying that, I already hated it but then it got even worse!

    Captain Planet:

    http://www.bigfrogmountain.com/images/ThanksFromCaptainPlanet.jpg
Thank you Captain Planet, you saved the day!

    24:

Hearing you two naming it a caricature of the original 24, I'm too afraid to see it, knowing I'll be kicked in the teeth by an amped up formula.
Also I learned a new saying:
    http://img122.imageshack.us/img122/8979/sharkjumping9qb.jpg
    Thank you captain Dave.

    Mozesh's buddy his game

I'm glad you liked, and so is my 'buddy'. His name is Ahmet by the way.
I don't know much to say about just that I really liked it myself.
Probably I will post his 'official' reply sometime soon.

    System Shock:

I never played this though, I did search for a few pictures:
    http://perso.wanadoo.fr/etienne.aubert/sshock/images/SSR_Compar_3.jpg
Damn, if that mod wasn't there I probably wouldn't want to play it.
    http://perso.wanadoo.fr/etienne.aubert/sshock/images/SSR_Compar_2.jpg
You mean this guy with pipe?

    Ultra Violet:
This is about the third time I heard that Ultra Violet sucked, so I'm never going to view this movie.
If you can't even make a decent CG building... then don't start.
    http://www.sisavath.com/moviepics/ultraviolet1_3.jpg
I didn't know Skabs was playing in it.

    Area 88:
I don't know it, so I can't say much about it but the picture on google looks cool.

    My Conclusion:
That was a really good podcast, do I have to explain why? I won't because I already made a big post with huge pictures in it...
    Anyway keep it up guys!

    PS:
The Burst Angel #1: Angel of Death rating picture is re-sized. OH MY GOD!
Oh and Silent Hill music rocks... like... president Palmer!
  • Holy sweet goddamn Mozesh, that was a post for the ages!

We should just have YOU do our shownotes. :D

EDIT: Yeah, it's really amazing what the rebirth mod does for System Shock. I can't imagine how I managed to play through that game the first time.

    Oh yeah, co-op. :D

Of course System Shock 1 is a different matter entirely. Really fun game made basically unplayable by its IMPOSSIBLE interface. Imagine trying to play Deus Ex with a Doom 2 design mentality. Ugh...

Now normally I would NEVER condone piracy, but if you can actually get SS2 to run on an XP machine then I feel like you've done your penance. ;) Plus, the game's basically abandonware in everything but name.

Please don't sue me EA!

  • Dear God Dave! I would never agree to such a thing!
    **downloading now!!!**
I found this neat site where you can download the high-poly model + texture upgrade + win2000/XP fix :o !
    http://games.moddb.com/66/mods/System-Shock-2/
Also I've seen a movie of a kind of the same high-poly model pack for Deus Ex unfortunately it wasn't downloadable since they only got a Hermann high-poly model and they never finished the mod...
And it seems I can't find that movie anymore. :(

Eh, it's worth the $10 to get it on eBay, but it's not like any of that cash is going back to the creators anymore.

That sucks, I'm playing (in a very technical sense, I haven't touched it in like a week) Deus Ex again and I'd love to see some upped polys on those models. God... by today's standards they're so... ugly!
  • Oh Holy Fuck Yeah!!!
    http://offtopicproductions.com/hdtp/ind ... om=&ucat=&
I found it, and even better it's still in production!!!

Some movies of the high-poly Hermann.
By the way if you didn't know yet. There is a multiplayer for DeusEx.
  • The multiplayer for Deus Ex has been around for a few years. HOWEVER, Amdy told me the other night that there's supposedly a co-op mod for it too. I don't know how fun that would be, Deus Ex just doesn't offer the customization that System Shock 2 does, but maybe...

"Machines don't make mistakes. Are you sure you pushed the right button?"
"I selected orange and got lemon-lime. They're doing this on purpose. They know I like orange!"
It's the maintenance man. He knows I like orange.

I've read something about the coop thing, still a beta I think so I don't know how it is.

  • Please lord, make it stop.

They are lost to your cause.
  • I couldn't even finish an episode of that series.
