    Pretty much.

Gotta make money somehow. If stuff about how great the whiteman is coming out of a brown guy is what Fox News wants, then I'll be there to profit.
  • Singing loudly all the way down the street is quite an enjoyable endeavor, no matter how many looks it gets you. Also, "down the street" includes taking the metro all the way across Vienna.
  • I just got home from class and see the first volume of the Akira manga on the coffee table. I figure my brother bought it while I was out, and that's pretty cool. I flip through it and find the rental card pouch for his school's library, and that's pretty damn awesome.
  • Fixed my tablet so it can now use wifi again. I pretty much have only been using it to stream Giant Bomb content, because for whatever reason it loads videos faster than my PC. I also taught my German friends how to properly grief kids in Halo.

You have surely advanced the cause of cultural understanding, and eventual world peace this day.
  • The work I've been doing on my Getter Robo costume gives me confidence that I'll actually be able to pull this off.
  • I also taught my German friends how to properly grief kids in Halo.

Did it involve Hitler and/or Nazis?
  • O Europe and your "freedom" of speech.
  • In Austria, I was rooming with this fellow from Frankfurt who was on his way to become a sunlight-eating yogi in India. I am not joking. Anyway, Austria has similar distaste for the salute, but he kept making a point of doing so, even goose-stepping. "But you do not do it outside. Even though it is stupid and perfect for making jokes. I think Germany and Austria should learn British humor."
  • I'm a fucking American hero talkin about the patriot act. http://afghan101.ou.edu/story.php?sid=78 this is what I trolled. Pretty much all of my rant was edited except these parts which served some message somewhere that believed in freedom and giving the land back.

Well, in Germany's case, it's a specific exception to freedom of speech.

I don't know what I think of it, honestly. Freedom of speech has limitations in any country, but is German history proof that a specific exception is warranted?
  • German's take it extremely seriously. I have yet to hear one joke about it yet, and I doubt I will.
  • Park Circus Films is making some new prints of "Ghostbusters" and will be distributing them worldwide this fall.
  • Made it back home to Ohio.
  • Welcome to The Suck.

Edit: Oh, wait. This is the I feel awesome thread. Glad you made it home safely - how was the trip?
  • Welcome back, now lets play some magic.
  • German's take it extremely seriously. I have yet to hear one joke about it yet, and I doubt I will.

I remember one of our German exchange students use to constantly tell the only jewish kid to leave the class, and call him "JUDEN". What a bro.
  • Normal Germans Zim, not neo-Nazis in training.
  • Xeno: Thanks! Trip went very well. Photos forthcoming.

Kaazu: Sure! I will locate my cards while I am down south and bring them to Columbus when I retrn there this weekend. Stuck in Portsmouth for the moment.
  • As of today, I am now FAA approved. B-)

  • WATCH THE SKIES
  • Maker Faire, Karaoke, Ramen, this weekend was pretty good. also Singing Fish Car with the Major General's Song and Coconut among others. Also Scrap Iron Fire Dragon. Also John Hodgeman talking about magic and the Mayan apocalypse.
  • I think Maker Faire has proven to my mother that I don't need a chaperone, am at least somewhat competent in my ability to act independently, and my internet friends aren't going rape me, except maybe Paul.
  • and my internet friends aren't going rape me, except maybe Paul.

This is how I imagine your first meeting with Paul will go.

BM: Good to meet you Paul.
Paul: Same to you old chum.
BM: What would you like to do?
    Paul: [whispering] Just the tip.
    BM: What?
    Paul: What?

  • You're just lucky. I planned to have you molested but was told not to, by someone who shall remain nameless. Some people don't understand fun.

    It was Dave.
  • Except astor wouldn't actually say anything besides yes no maybe and sing super robot show songs.
  • This is also true. Makes the rape a lot easier. He can't yell "fire" unless it's a song lyric. At that point everyone would just think he was having a good time.
  • So Paul just has to keep yelling "We didn't start the" so when Ast yells "fire" people just assume they really like Billy Joel.
  • You are all horrible people.
  • I'm just trying to help Paul. It's a sad day when just trying to help your fellow human being gets you called a horrible person.
  • Today, I did a project on "how much Media usage I do". I happy to said I used the less amount out of my class so far.
  • What's the percentage of your class that writes better than you?
  • Unknown

Edit: @Digitalguardian: Your post just gave me an idea. From on till I say so, I give you full permission to correct any writing errors I make on this forum. Do you accept this mission?
  • "From now on"
  • Oh goodness. I am going to volunteer to rewrite your posts, regardless of what Nick does. Also, I will dig up a good grammar book to use as a compositional aid.
  • I accept your mission and delegate this task to Jon.
  • I went to Oktoberfest today. The most fun I have ever had in my life. Dancing on tables and benches, singing songs I don't know, getting friendly with people I have never met before, and drinking a ton. The best atmosphere you will ever encounter.
  • Setting up my new computer :D
  • I may get the chance to go to a Ryouske Takahashi Q and A next week in Edinburgh.

I will only ask Dougram questions.
  • Yet another film crew has commandeered my street to film something I don't know. (The Good Wife) I just got home and my block has an artificial sun half way down it. There is absolutely no where to park because it's 1AM and their trucks take up 8 blocks.

That said, I totally got a free sandwich and as many pastries as I could carry from the nice lady at craft who apparently didn't realize, or didn't care, that I'm not part of the crew. I know it's late but there are oddly no people milling around to watch the set like they usually do. That probably helped my ruse.

    Yummy stolen sammich.
  • Yankees lost

  • @Squirrel, I'm pretty sure they owed you that sandwich.
  • "Ghostbusters" is gonna be in theaters tomorrow!
  • Flight to Brazil: booked.
  • Jesus man you are just going all over the damn world aren't you?

On a totally unrelated note, I feel awesome because I'm drinking while watching cartoons and listening to Scooter. YEAHHHHHH.
