Finally put my two weeks notice in at my work. Last day is May 19th. I will finally be done with a job with no work, there is nothing more exausting then going to a job where you have no work to do, but you can't look like you don't have work to do...
I will be able to scrounge for a few months being super frugal, then I will get my Permanent Dividend Fund and that will keep me alive a little longer, and then I will get my college savings withdrawn which will add up to another 9000 dollars which I hopefully I can manage well enough to keep me alive for the upcoming college school days.
This is super weird. I can actually afford to save money now that I got a raise. I am making nearly double what I was a year and a half ago. I am making more money than either of my parents. Of course, I feel strangely guilty about this.
Saving money is the best feeling in the world. There's a danger that you can addicted to the idea that your savings account can't be touched ever. I was incredibly thankful my wife and I had savings after she went in for a very minor surgery and came out with an $8,000 dollar bill. We got on a payment plan, but we were able to weather some other squall's thanks to that cushion.
My wife just discovered that some birds have made a nest in a cow skull hanging in our backyard. You can hear the baby birds chirping whenever the parents land on the skull to feed them. Circle of life, man.
So first final down, pretty sure I did well only two more left and Im fairly certain I will do well on them. Also turned all the shit I needed to. Leaving thursday, and recently got back in touch with some friends back home. Unfortunately I will also be with out internet for three months till I move into my new appartment. But on the plus side I HAVE AN APPARTMENT!
Also: I got a free computer from some guy at work. It's a 2.8 ghz Pentium 4 with a gig of RAM, which doesn't sound too impressive until you realize what I was previously using. For the first time ever I was able to get fucking Windows activate properly so now I can GASP actually use Windows Update! This is new fucking territory.
Also neat: I bought destroyallpodcasts.com to compliment destroyallpodcastsdx.com, except that I am the one controlling destroyallpodcasts.com directly, so using that URL I took out the redirect page I hate and just pointed directly at the damn page. A minor thing, yes, but I LOVE it.
Hope it is enjoyable. I remember my graduation as just being know as being the longest in the state. It trudged on for so long and it wasn't the awesome cathartic experience everyone expected when it dragged on for like 6 hours.
Graduation is exhausting, miserable, and boring. I got so drunk the night before my college graduation I almost didn't go, ended up showing up just in time to hop into the procession as they walked into the tent (woo! no prerehersal!) and grab a newspaper so I could do the crossword while the presenter spoke.
I've never actually graduated anything, but I've been to a few...pretty durn boring...I always get so excited, and swell up with pride for whomever it is I'm going to see, and then...I'm just hot, and I want the person next to me to stop touching me, because I don't know them, and the seats are too goddamn small and too close together, so you have to touch them, even if you don't know them!

Congratulations, Crono! Thanks, now I just need to clean up my room and prepare myself for an internship starting on 26th. Also, commencement ceremony was awesome
