  • I can fake your papers for $2 and a smile.
  • He only has to pay $5? I had to pay in gay sex...
  • It's all about locality.
  • Umm... aren't you both in Ohio?
  • You catch on quickly.
  • Ewwwwwwww! Well that puts a new twist on the book club.
  • Hi. I've listened to the podcast for about a few years now (my first was "Sometimes the bullets are made of candy") and for some reason it didn't occur to me until a little bit after watching one of the recent Silent Hill livestreams that this podcast had a forum. For some reason I just assumed everything happened on the main page because I'm dumb I guess.
  • Will overlook your dumbness for a small fee / service.

    Depending on your location.
  • *I* should pay a small fee to everyone who had to watch Silent Hill: Downpour.
  • This immediately came to mind when I read that...

I need to spend some time away from the internet.

I'm still mad about that ladder hook.
  • I should make a list of book club's unwritten rules. It could be a learning experience for any new members. They might think they only have to pay a fee. Those poor fools. Those poor, poor fools.

So I definitely need to spend some time away from the internet.
  • Hello everybody
  • Hi fallingdown
  • Oh look, an intro thread. Hmmm.... ok...... I'm Rachel and I am one of the contributors to Womanthology. I was on one episode of The Greatest Movie Ever Podcast where I induced some hate. And I'm going to HeroesCon to help run the Womanthology booth this weekend. So come say hi irl if you're going. I promise I won't be creepy. Mostly.
  • Guten Tag everyone. I am fake_brasilian. I am actually Brasilian (as I was born there) but I don't actually speak the language. My parents remind me everyday.
  • *Brazilian.
  • Are you an evil clone of Hitler?
  • Hilter was Brazilian?

What part of Brazil are you from, and have you been back as an adult?

In english is Brazil but in portuguese/spanish is Brasil.
  • ^ I know that. I was being silly.
  • Hey folks, figured I'd finally check out the forums after listening to the podcast all these years.

For a general idea of my interests, over the last month I've been primarily playing League of Legends, watching the old Pink Panther movies, and enjoying such wonderful works of Japanese animation as Crystal Triangle and Harmageddon. So judging by those last two points, something of a lunatic.
  • Hell y'all! You might have seen me commenting on the streams lately. As of late I have somehow gone through my life without knowing the joys of cheesecake. Unfortunately, this discovery may lead to a crippling cheesecake addiction. I fear this may be my undoing.
  • Yeah...you're fucked. At least it will be a tasty end.
  • Just wait until you fall down the infinite cannoli hole that has been my weekend.
  • Hey everybody. I've been listening to the podcast for 4 (?) years now, pretty much the entirety of my highschool education. I'm a large fan of the show (why is it more acceptable to say huge or big? I'm breaking that trend now, call me an iconoclast) and as someone who makes games in their free time, I particularly love hearing the discussions on videogames and the success and failure of their mechanics. It inspires to me to keep on truckin' and that's all I could ask for from people I don't know! Perhaps I'll get to share some games I make later on, even though I'm no Jon Blow/Phil Fish/Guy in skinny jeans.
  • My name is Matt and I learned about the podcast from GeekNights AND I JUST DON'T GIVE A FUH.
  • Hello! I'm Karla and I've been listening to the podcast for about... 3 years, I think(Maybe more like 2.5). I'm pretty sure I found out about you guys via AWO, and was hooked from the first episode I heard.
I'm of course into anime and video games. For anime and manga, I tend to like seinen and josei works(when they're not yaoi), some of my favorites being Berserk Black Lagoon, Kurosagi Corpse Delivery service, Princess Jellyfish, Utena, Wandering Son and Peepo Choo. for video games, I tend to like horror games(or games that just kind of end up being scary but don't necessarily set out to do that), games by Valve, RPG's, and artsy games like Journey.
I figured I could make some friends here or something. :O
  • Welcome!
  • Princess Jellyfish [...] Peepo Choo

It's really funny to see these two juxtaposed. :D

I think more people should like both of those things. Actually, scratch that, I would be happy if more people read Peepo Choo in general. I have done my small part by causing it to be required reading for anyone who wants to be part of my group of friends. We also collectively agree that Morimoto is one of the best manga characters ever.

    Also, that you xenomouse! :D
  • I tried looking that up on wikipedia and it asked if I meant pepo choo, so I said yes? and then the next suggestion was pepe cholo
  • Also, that you xenomouse! :D

    May... be?

    Have we met?
  • I'm thinking she was going for "thank you".
  • Don't worry xeno, I got it.
  • Berserk Black Lagoon

I love how you did not put a comma between those two shows. WOnder how awesome Berserk and Black Lagoon would be if they combined into one epic show.

Gaahhh, obviously I should not be allowed to type when I am tired. I was meaning to say thank you...

Berserk Black Lagoon sounds like some sort of non-cannon O VA where everything is hyper unrealistic and crazy.
  • ^^ Only difference would be that there would no longer be any strong BL women since they would all be constantly raped by Griffith.

Nah dude, Revy and Balalaika would mess Griffith up something fierce.
  • Hello everyone.

My name is Etjen and I have been listening to this podcast for almost five years. I found this podcast when I was looking for something fun to listen to while working, and even though this podcast made work less boring, year and a half later I decided to quit my job and start studing at a university. Three years have past since then and I still enjoy the podcast, however, one podcast related incident has left a mark on me (literally) and it was when I was listening to the "we name him hanabi" episode during the soldering part of my work. When Dave and Joel started talking about hanabi baby I laughed so hard that I dropped the hot part of the soldering-iron on my hand. The burn mark is still visible today.

I'll just end this post with some information about myself. I live in Sweden. Most of my spare time I usually spend training or working out, which I do five to six days a week two times a day. Ofcorse, I do find some time to play games and watch an occasional anime, however, anime watching has decreased drastically during the last three years. It is just not as fun as it used to be, or maybe I am just getting older, I am 28 by the way, what is fun however is listening to Dave and Joel talking about bad anime. :) It was eight years ago since I was active in any kind of forum, so I hope I am doing the right thing by joining fast karate for the gentleman forum.

  • You have made a terrible, horrible, no good, very bad mistake.

    Also, welcome! :D
  • What were you soldering?
  • I worked for this company (Peltor/3M) that makes hearing protection headsets, which aside from protecting your ears needed to be compateble with phones and mp3 players as well as being used for radio listening, and other stuff, so I was soldering different chips and components in to the headsets to make that possible. Really boring work, often it fellt like a monkey could do my job.

    xenomouse thanks :)
  • Just out of curiosity, do you have a tail and tend to fling your own poo?
  • Really funny...
  • No, but seriously do you?
