No, abortion should never be used as a bail-out for irresponsible parents or those who simply "messed up" and became pregnant. But there are certain *rare* scenarios & cases out there where pro-choice has saved lives. Pro-choice does not mean pro-death. Get the facts before making judgment.
Affirmative Action: Doesn't this lead us back to segregation again? Trying to end racial discrimination by distinguishing people BY THEIR RACE. Sounds like segregation to me.
Capital Punishment: For it. Why waste money and keep them in jail for 60 years? If there is substantial evidence [DNA, video, etc.] proving that the criminal actually committed a crime punishable by death, kill him/her. If, however, there is NOT substantial evidence [say a jury/judge decides based on how they/he feels about the case], capital punishment should not be an option. Also, all of those criminals who are serving 800 year sentences or life without parole should be put dowm.

Electoral College: Stupid. Rhode Island is small because that's the way their charter made it. A Rhode Islander's vote should not count more than a Californian's. Flag Burning: The American Flag is a symbol of America, Freedom, Rights, Bill of Rights, American Culture, Decoration of Independence and so much more that is America. I believe that if someone burns the flag is should be against the law. Although it should not be a federal offense i think it should be state by state i believe that there should be a slight punishment for burning the flag, not anything bad, a week or two in prison, community work, something that makes them not want to do it again. Although it would be very nicce to get them to do something that would make them appreciate the freedom we have, i don't know what maybe go live in a 3rd world country for a month or something, but i don't think that can actually be a punishment. RESPECT AMERICA and America will respect you!
Foreign Policy: Multi-lateral is the only way that works, and it will not work as long as no one is willing to compromise. War should not be entered lightly, however, once one has been started it should not be abandoned as soon as soldiers start to die either. People die in wars, far more Americans died on the first day of the battle of Iwo Jima than have died in the entire war in Iraq so far. That said, the extended use of the National Guard and Reserves on foreign duty is stupid, it is not what they were created for and should not be used this way.

What about people that close hospitals in southern Cali. because the doctors are required to treat them but they can't pay? What about people that are allowed to put their kids in our school systems for free and WE have to pay for them with our tax money? What about the innocent people that are killed by illegal drunk drivers? What about people that work here illegally and do not pay social security, which in turn is draining the system dry for furture retirees? Step 1: Go after companies that hire illegals. Fine them out the butt. Step 2: Illegals don't get hired/can't buy homes/can't open bank accounts anymore by these disgusting companies. Step 3: Illegals go home and Mexico's second largest source of income stops. Step 4: Build a double layer chain-linked fence with enough room between the two fences to put a road. Line the fences with razor wire. Set up gaurd towers on the US-side of the fence every ten or so miles. Have trucks patrol the road. Shoot anyone that crosses. Step 5: Americans get their jobs back and cities improve from less gang activity. Social Security recovers. Hospitals re-open. America becomes a better place to live.
Marijuana Legalization: Marijuana should remain illegal. I don't believe in a culture of instant self-gratification or self-indulgence through drugs. We've grown up in a self-defeating culture where teens and adults alike feel that since we will never fully win the war on drugs, we should just legalize them altogether to "prevent crime." Good idea, and while we're at it, maybe we should also legalize robbery and pedophilia.
Media Bias: "Every reporter has a bias, the good ones just don't know where their bias is."
Minimum Wage: Minimum wage needs to allow a single adult to pay rent, pay basic bills, electricity, telephone, car payment, and other utilities. Purchase groceries, and allow a little for savings.

Separation of Church and State: It should be seperate, completely and utterly. This is a free nation with freedom of choice of religion, and many many many religions in it. Without separation of Church and State what are we showing others. Hey look, we ran away so we could freely practice our religion and started our own country, but now we are going to practice it with our government, hope your not offended! however the mere mention of god should not be a call to arms.
Social Security: Won't work because of inflation, but there isnt much we can do about it.
Stem Cell Research: Is amazing. If it can help with serious injuries, illnesses - there's no telling how far human advancement can go! Seriously - instead of funding all these stupid inquriy conventions that Bush has everytime he has to look up a word in the dictionary, fund SCR. Only way we will move from Embyrotics is by exploring other ways - and that takes money.

Unions: Good and Bad. Good when a boss is doing something stupid to hurt the workers physically, mentally or just doing something dumb. Bad when schools and state buildings can only hire union workers that have the lowest bid and do a piss poor job and then the state ends up putting in more then double of the original price because someone on the base level messed up. Its also bad if you are a small company because it takes a lot to keep up in the unions. And depending on your skill unions have you working for 6 months and then don't have another job until a half of a year. I don't believe they should be banished i think they should just take a look at what there doing.
United Nations: Needs reforms but is everyone's best hope, bilateral negotiations have repeatedly failed throughout human history.
War in Iraq: The people of Iraq are incapable of running a government because they are acting like savages. This fact is evidenced by their behavior over the last three thousand years. That is the cold and hard truth. We cannot be expected to run a country for a people who cannot carry out simple discourse without blowing a car up in a crowded city square. Our soldiers have done an amazing job, but it's time to call it a lost cause and gradually pull out, letting the country (and in time, the Middle East) self-destruct. If we cut them loose on each other, they will eliminate the threat they pose to us themselves.
Welfare: Pro-workfare. All unemployed but able-bodied men should be required to work on public projects such as the military, construction, parks, museums, etc. in order to earn their welfare check. Otherwise, if they don't work, they don't get any welfare benefits. Government should provide people with jobs, not handouts.
Wiretapping: They only tap international calls, what do us regular citizens have to hide anyway? If it stops another 9/11 then I am all for it.
