Geijutsuka Art Design Class (looooong name) which was a slice of life style anime about cute girls and art, and going from that anime to a gritty, thick-lined show with sadness, gambling and manly sad men somehow made it even cooler. I recommend this anime at a 7 or 8 out of 10, and I think Dave and Joel would possibly like it as well, if they haven't already seen it. Even if you don't watch the anime, at least look up the OP and ED on youtube or something; they are pleasant to listen to, and have neat imagery, in my opinion.
