I don't really have the energy to create separate threads for the 3-4 games I'm playing right now, so figured I would just list them.

Tomb Raider: Anniversary (PSP) - Pretty cool, slightly frustrating trial and error (try and die) at times, otherwise great game.

Everyday Shooter (PS3) - Why didn't I buy this sooner? Still playing everyday, as title suggests.

Resident Evil: Remake (Gamecube) - Had to play through again after I went through Resident Evil 4 (Wii) for the 8th time. I was curious if it held up. It does. Still my favorite game of all time next to ICO, no question.

Up next: Guitar Hero III (never played a GH game before), Ratchet & Clank, and COD:4 (all PS3). Probably try to pick up the japanese Mario Galaxies too if I can find out how import friendly it is.

What are you playing?

Talk about card and board games.

Here are the games I've been playing recently that I think you should play.
No Thanks! - a super awesome game which takes about 2 minutes to learn and 5-10 minutes to play. It also lends itself to risk-taking, bad decision-making, and playfully being a dick to the other players. :D

Guildhall - this is a medieval-village themed set-making game. It takes about 10-30 minutes to play (depending on whether or not the players are experienced), and I don't think I've ever played it less than twice in a single sitting. It is vaguely "Dominion-esque" in that the cards have effects as you play them.

The Resistance - this is one of those "everybody is working together but there are traitors afoot" kind of games. It takes about 20-30 minutes to play - not as annoyingly long as certain board games with the same feature. Another good game for winding up your friends and getting them pissed at you. Downside: you need at least 4 other friends if you want to play it.

Are you the traitor? - very similar to The Resistance, but more like Werewolf, with a fantasy theme. It takes about 10 minutes to play a game. You only need at least 3 other friends for this one.

Bohnanza - a strategic resource management card game in which you trade, cultivate, and harvest beans. Yeah, it's about bean farming. I've never been able to put together a good elevator pitch for this one, but it's really fun for what it is. Oh, wait! It's a Rio Grande game: that's an automatic +1!

San Juan - I've gushed about this one enough. It's like Puerto Rico, but without the achingly long game time.

Dominion - even the bad games I've had with Dominion were pretty good. If you've ever played Magic the Gathering (and enjoyed it), you should check it out.

Honorable mention:
DC Comics Deck Building Games - it's a deck building game where you play a member of the Justice League. I've only played it once, but that one time was really fun.

Nomination for official FKftG card game:
Hanabi - I've never played the game, the only thing I know about it is the name, which I think makes it a shoo-in.

There are games like Gears and Halo 3 I got at launch, but fewer that I've been so impatient for. I haven't played it at all yet, but top players have said it's a complete reset of the playing field; it doesn't matter how good or bad you are at any other SF game, 3rd Strike players and MvC2 players are all coming in on the ground floor. Anyone who pays attention to this stuff have some suggestions? I feel like Samsung and Dell still make the best monitors but I haven't actually looked at buying a monitor in over 5 years.
So a few of us have been poking around the free-to-play jankiness that is the Neverwinter beta. We're all on the Beholder server, or 'shard' as the hip kids like to call it. So far, I haven't managed to hook up with any of the old Kung Fu Scientist crew yet. Apparently, in order to add someone to your friend's list, you have to know both their log-in handle and their character's name, I guess? I don't know; I am bad at vidjer games.

So here goes:

My log-in handle is gullywonkus.

My freshly-minted level 10 dwarf cleric is named Olga Ironhand. I don't know how the game handles the space in the middle. I think Olga has scoliosis or something, because whenever she stands still, she's always thrusting out her bosom in a particularly painful-looking manner.

I've been enjoying a little level grinding so far. The game mixes some of the advantages of LoTRO and Warhammer Online with a streamlined, 4th Edition Dungeons & Dragons rule system. The crafting systems are pretty decent, and combat isn't bad either, although it's a little click heavy. You actively have to dodge away from dangerous enemy attacks, and you can even trick enemies into walking into traps, which I found amusing.

There's also crowd-sourced content that I've been too scared to try, because if it were me programming the instances, I'd probably troll the hell out of people by dropping great wyrm red dragons and storm giants on their unsuspecting heads.

I recently played the FFT remake for the ipad and really liked it but found the touch controls just getting in the way of accomplishing things in a timely manner. So I have been looking into just buying a PSP and FFT, looks like I could do this for $110. Any advice from other PSP users? What amazing PSP games have I been missing in the last 4 or 5 years? The only other game I think I might get is Persona 4 Golden, but then again I have no idea whats on the PSP.
